Rolling process

Our furling mill is equipped with a linear cage system, trio type rolling mills (three cylinders) with the rolling system in both directions. Such a rolling system results in a very high degree of rolling Processing (ratio of cross-sectional area of ​​input material / cross-sectional area of finished product) which in our case is several times higher than at competition.
The chemical composition, agreed with the producer of the slab with SCS (Strand Cast Steel) ensures the mechanical properties of the finished products that meets the entire requirements of the standards PN-EN 10025-1: 2007, PN-EN 10025-2: 2007. PN-EN 10025-1: 2007, PN-EN 10025-2: 2007.

This applies in particular to:

  • chemical composition analysis
  • the strength parameters Re, Rm, A which are on average 20-25% higher than the standard requirements
  • KV impact, which is much higher than the standard required, and often approaches the material after the Standardization process.

Research of steel microstructure after rolling

The aim od Toughness and Impact Strenght tests is to evaluate mechanical properties od angles made in WOST comparing to angles made outside. Got rolled angles in S355J2 grade with carbon content 0,11÷0,16% were used in researches.
