As someone who grew up playing competitive golf, the Ryder Cup has always been for me, the biggest spectacle, even factoring in the Major tournaments. There is just something about this event that is so captivating.
I just wanted to highlight one of many unbelievable moments from this weekends Ryder Cup in Rome. Tommy Fleetwood stepped up and hit a Driver to the middle of the Green on the 16th to secure victory in that match, with only really a tiny landing spot to keep it on the green. The commentator mentions the easy shot is bailing left, but he went straight at it despite his opponent Rickie Fowler already hitting it in the water.
It got me thinking, do we all have strategies in place for our day to day lives to enable us to succeed, even more so when we are up against it and the challenge might seem too big?
We all have moments in our lives where we face challenges and pressure to perform, and the workplace is no exception. But it's important to remember that, with the right strategies in place, you can manage and even thrive under pressure.
1. Firstly, take a moment to recognise the pressure and accept it. This will help you to stay focused and stop feeling overwhelmed.
2. Next, break down the challenge into manageable chunks and prioritise the tasks. This will help you stay organised and on track. 📝
3. Lastly, remember to take breaks throughout the day and make sure you get enough sleep. This will help you stay energised and more productive.
I am well aware I might have lost some of my audience with golf related content, but we can all take something from Team Europe's emphatic victory in Italy this week. GO TEAM EUROPE! ⛳
